SEO OS software licence
The terms attached to every SEO OS purchase, for all three editions.
Version 1.1 · 2026 · Licensor: Emeka Eje, trading as Slipper Digital ·
Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria · [email protected]
This agreement governs your use of SEO OS V4.0.0. It is a licence to use software, not a sale of the software and not a transfer of its intellectual property.
Read it once. It is written to be understood without a lawyer sitting beside you, and it is deliberately short about the things that are standard and specific about the things that are not: what you may do with the source, what happens when this software changes a live client site, and what has and has not been proven in production.
1. What this licence is, and is not
WHAT THIS LICENCE IS
A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use SEO OS V4.0.0 in your own paid client work, for a one-time fee. You keep the files. There is no renewal, no subscription, and no expiry on the edition you bought.
WHAT THIS LICENCE IS NOT
It is not a transfer of ownership. The Software, its architecture, its detector and scoring logic and its naming remain the property of the Licensor.
It is not a reseller or redistribution agreement. You may use the Software to earn money from your clients. You may not sell, publish or hand on the Software itself, in whole or in part, modified or unmodified.
It is not a hosted service. Nothing here obliges the Licensor to run anything on your behalf, and no part of your engagement data is routed through a Licensor server by the Software as delivered.
It is not a partnership, agency or employment relationship. Your client work, your commercial decisions and your liabilities are your own.
2. Definitions
| Licensor | Emeka Eje, trading as Slipper Digital, of slipperdigital.com, owner of the Software and its intellectual property. |
| Licensee | The individual consultant, firm or company that paid the licence fee and is named on the purchase receipt. |
| The Software | SEO OS V4.0.0: the standalone workbench, the companion service, the compiled front end, and, where the edition includes it, the source package, together with the manual and supporting files listed in the inventory for that edition. |
| Standalone Workbench | The portable HTML application that holds the consultant workflow and its local workspace. |
| Companion Service | The local service that performs crawling, JavaScript rendering, integrations and connector execution on a machine the Licensee controls. |
| Source Package | The complete source tree, tests, CI workflow and build scripts supplied with the Agency edition. |
| Delivering Consultant | A named individual who uses the Software in a paid Engagement under the Licensee's brand, whether as founder, employee, partner or subcontractor. |
| Licensed Client | A third party paying the Licensee for an Engagement in which the Software is used. |
| Engagement | Any paid audit, advisory, optimization, implementation or delivery service the Licensee provides to a Licensed Client using any part of the Software. |
| Production Change | Any modification the Software writes to a system that is live, including page metadata, page body content and links, canonicals, robots and indexing directives, structured data and file content. |
| Redistribution | Distributing, selling, sublicensing, publishing or otherwise making the Software or a derivative of it available to anyone who is not a Delivering Consultant of the Licensee. |
| Edition | Solo, Professional or Agency, as purchased. Each edition carries the grant set out for it in this agreement. |
3. Grant of rights, by edition
Each edition carries its own grant. Everything in section 4 onwards applies to all three.
Solo
$249 one-time licence, perpetual, standalone workbench
Covers one named Delivering Consultant
Use the Standalone Workbench for paid client work.
- Install and run SEO-OS-v4.0.0-Standalone.html on any computer you control
- Use it in any number of paid Engagements, with no cap on Engagements or on the revenue you earn
- No royalty, no revenue share, no obligation to report your client work to the Licensor
- Keep working offline: the workbench stores its workspace in your own browser
Produce and keep your own client deliverables.
- Exports, reports, tickets and any document you generate are yours
- The Licensor claims no rights in your client deliverables and receives none of your client data
Edition boundary. Solo does not include the companion service. By itself the workbench does not run the automated crawler, JavaScript rendering, search and analytics integrations or any production execution connector. Those capabilities are licensed with Professional and Agency.
Professional
$399 one-time licence, perpetual, full consultant operating system
Covers one named Delivering Consultant
Everything granted under Solo.
- The Standalone Workbench, on any computer you control, for unlimited paid Engagements
Run the Companion Service on machines you control.
- Install and run the packaged Windows companion service for your own Engagements
- Automated crawling, candidate findings, and JavaScript rendering through the browser already installed on that machine
- Search and analytics integrations, using credentials you supply and control
- Controlled execution connectors, including snapshots, drift checks, rollback and post-change validation
- Resumable crawl jobs and schedules
Edition boundary. Professional does not include source code, the self-hostable build, or the right to re-brand the software itself. Those are licensed with Agency.
Agency
$1,250 one-time commercial licence, perpetual, source included
Covers every Delivering Consultant working inside the Licensee firm, with no count limit
Everything granted under Professional.
- The workbench and the companion service, for unlimited paid Engagements
Operate across your whole firm.
- Every Delivering Consultant employed by or contracted to the Licensee may use the Software under this one licence
- No per-consultant seat fee and no count limit inside the Licensee firm
- A consultant who leaves to practise under their own brand needs their own licence
Modify and extend the Software for the Licensee's own use.
- Read, modify, build and internally deploy the Source Package
- Add connectors, detectors, reports or integrations of your own
- Your modifications are yours; the Software they are built on remains the Licensor's
Host the compiled front end on infrastructure you control.
- Deploy SEO-OS-v4.0.0-Hostable.zip, or a build you produce from the Source Package, to a host you control
- Access is for the Licensee firm's own Delivering Consultants
- Giving a Licensed Client or any other third party their own access to a hosted instance needs a separate written agreement
White-label builds you produce.
- Replace the Licensor's brand marks with your own in builds you deploy inside your firm and in client-facing output
- White-labelling removes the marks; it does not transfer authorship of the Software
Edition boundary. Agency is a licence to operate, extend and brand the Software inside the Licensee firm. It is not a reseller agreement and not a right to distribute the Software, modified or unmodified, to anyone outside that firm.
4. Restrictions
The following are prohibited under every edition. Any of them is a material breach and
ends the licence without refund.
You may not redistribute the Software.
- Do not sell, sublicense, publish or give away the Software, in whole or in part
- Do not upload it to a marketplace, file-sharing service, course platform, template library or public repository
- Do not bundle it inside another product, course, membership or downloadable package
- Do not give a copy to anyone who is not a Delivering Consultant of the Licensee
- This applies to modified copies exactly as it applies to unmodified ones
You may not operate it as a service for third parties.
- Do not offer the Software, hosted or otherwise, as a product, portal or multi-tenant service that third parties sign into
- Running the Software to deliver your own Engagements is the permitted use; letting a client operate it themselves is not
- A hosted deployment under the Agency edition is for the Licensee firm's own Delivering Consultants
You may not claim authorship of the Software.
- Do not represent yourself as the creator or originator of the Software or its methodology
- Do not register or attempt to register trademarks over its name, its component names or its scoring logic
- Do not file derivative intellectual property claims over the Software
- White-labelling permitted under the Agency edition removes brand marks; it does not change who wrote the Software
You may not remove the notices.
- Copyright notices, licence notices and the third-party notices file must remain intact in any copy or build you hold or deploy
You may not transfer the licence.
- The licence is granted to the named Licensee and cannot be assigned or resold
- If the Licensee firm is sold, the acquirer needs its own licence
- Reverse engineering of the packaged executable is prohibited except to the extent that law expressly permits it; Agency licensees have the source and do not need to

6. Your client work
Reports, exports, tickets, proposals and any other deliverable you produce with the
Software belong to you. The Licensor claims no rights in them, receives no royalty on
them, and takes no interest in your client relationships. Client data stays wherever you
run the Software.
7. Standard commercial terms
7.1 Payment and delivery
The fee is due in full at purchase. Delivery is the download package for the edition purchased, together with the support term below. Nothing further is required from the Licensor for this licence to have delivered what it promises.
7.2 Taxes
Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, VAT, GST or withholding tax, which are the Licensee's responsibility. A payment platform may collect and remit tax on the Licensor's behalf where it is required to.
7.3 Third-party components
The Software includes open-source components, each under its own licence. Those licences are reproduced in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file supplied with the package and are unaffected by this agreement. Where a third-party licence grants the Licensee more than this agreement does in respect of that component, the third-party licence governs that component.
7.4 Responsibility for Production Changes
This is the term that matters most in practice. The Software can write changes to a live site. The Licensee is solely responsible for:
- holding the authority to modify any system it points the Software at
- reviewing and approving each change before it is executed
- the commercial, technical and search consequences of any change that is made
The Software requires explicit consultant approval before execution, applies an additional confirmation gate to canonical and robots or indexing changes, performs a drift check before writing, records a pre-write snapshot, and offers rollback with post-rollback verification. Those controls are safeguards, not guarantees. The Licensor is not responsible for the content, correctness or effect of any change the Licensee approves.
7.5 What has and has not been proven
The Licensee acknowledges the state of verification published with this version:
- A real Cloudflare Worker and static-assets publish, targeted production recrawl, rollback and rollback verification have been completed against a disposable live target and, on 28 September 2026, against a live production site for page head fields.
- Body sections and internal link placements, added in V4.0.0, were published to a live production site through the Cloudflare connector (a Worker with static assets) on 10 October 2026, validated by production recrawl, rolled back and the rollback verified. Through the static folder connector they are tested end to end against a local test site, and WordPress body editing only against a simulated WordPress. They have NOT been run on a production WordPress site or through a real GitHub repository.
- Google OAuth, Search Console and GA4, keyed PageSpeed, production WordPress, production Shopify, real GitHub pull-request lifecycle and real webhook receivers have NOT been verified against live third-party systems.
- The Windows executable is not code-signed. Windows will warn on first run.
- The Software has not been load-tested at enterprise scale, nor against very large or heavily authenticated, JavaScript-dependent sites.
These statements are made as at the release of this version and are the basis on which the licence fee is paid.
7.6 Data and credentials
The Software is local-first. The workbench and the companion service are designed to run under the Licensee's control, and the Software as delivered does not route engagement data through a Licensor application server. Any credential, API key or token the Licensee configures is the Licensee's to protect. External providers receive only what is necessary for a connection the Licensee explicitly configures.
7.7 No warranty
The Software is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and makes no warranty that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its use will produce any particular ranking, traffic, revenue or other business outcome. Its value depends on skilled application.
7.8 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor's total liability under this agreement is limited to the fee the Licensee paid. The Licensor is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages, including lost profits, lost traffic or revenue, lost business opportunity, loss of data, or the cost of restoring a system the Licensee changed.
7.9 Indemnification
The Licensee indemnifies the Licensor against claims, damages and liabilities arising from the Licensee's use of the Software in client work, including client disputes, changes made to client systems and business losses attributed to the Licensee's services.
7.10 Updates and editions
Point releases within the purchased major version, where the Licensor publishes them, are provided at no further cost. Nothing obliges the Licensor to publish updates on any schedule or at all, and no part of the fee is contingent on one. A future major version may be offered as a separate paid edition.
7.11 Support
Every edition includes 30 days of email support from the date of purchase, by writing to [email protected]. Support covers:
- installing the Software and getting it running
- defects in the Software itself
Support does not include custom development, changes built for the Licensee's workflow, or work on the Licensee's client sites. There is no set response time. Support ends 30 days after purchase whether or not it has been used, and ends with the licence if a refund is issued.
7.12 Changes to these terms
The Licensor may publish revised terms for new licensees at any time. A Licensee who has already purchased keeps the terms in force at the time of their purchase.
7.13 Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
8. Refund and termination
14-day fit guarantee
Within 14 days of purchase the Licensee may request a full refund for any reason, by writing to [email protected] with the word "refund" in the subject line. On refund, the rights granted by this licence end immediately and the Licensee must delete the Software from their systems, including any build or deployment made from it.
After the guarantee window
After 14 days the Licensor does not offer a refund as a matter of policy. That is a statement of the Licensor's policy and nothing more. It does not limit two things that sit outside this agreement:
- Any right the Licensee has under mandatory consumer or contract law in their own jurisdiction. Where such a right applies it applies regardless of what this agreement says, and this clause gives way to it.
- The authority of the platform the purchase was made through. Gumroad's terms provide that it handles buyers' requests for refunds, chargebacks and other disputes in its sole discretion, and it may issue a refund under that authority whether or not the Licensor agrees.
However a refund is issued, the rights granted by this licence end and the deletion obligation above applies.
Termination by the Licensor
The Licensor may terminate this licence immediately, without refund, if the Licensee redistributes the Software, operates it as a service for third parties, claims authorship of it, removes its notices, or transfers the licence.
Termination by the Licensee
The Licensee may stop using the Software at any time. No refund is due after the 14-day window, subject to the paragraph above.
After termination
On termination for breach, the Licensee must stop using the Software and delete it, including any modified build and any hosted deployment. Engagements already in progress may be completed only with the Licensor's written agreement. Client deliverables the Licensee has already produced remain the Licensee's. Confidentiality survives termination.
9. Acknowledgment
By downloading, installing or using the Software, you confirm:
- I have read this agreement and understand the rights granted and the restrictions imposed.
- I am authorised to enter into it for myself or my firm.
- I understand that I am receiving a licence to use the Software, not ownership of it.
- I will not redistribute the Software, operate it as a service for third parties, or claim authorship of it.
- I accept that I am responsible for the authority to change any client system and for every change I approve.
- I have read the verification statement at 7.5 and accept the state of proof it describes.
- I understand the Licensor does not refund after the 14-day window, and that this does not displace my statutory rights or the platform's own refund authority.
This licence takes effect on payment clearance and is evidenced by the purchase
receipt. No signature is required.
This document was prepared for the Licensor's own use and is not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review it before you rely on it.
